Look up the word "style" in any dictionary - any hip dictionary, that is - and you're likely to find the name "Cab Calloway." Or at least you should be able to do that.

The legendary performer (bandleader, singer, saxophonist, drummer) died Friday, Nov. 19 at the age of 86. He had suffered a stroke in June. Calloway was the epitome of style. "Pizazz" and "panache" too.
