Tumult over Teletubby's Tinky Winky

Hear ye! Hear ye! It's the gospel according to the Rev. Jerry Falwell. The Teletubby "Tinky Winky," oldest and biggest of TV's psychedelic quartet of superterrestrials, is gay. Or, to quote Falwell's words, Tinky Winky "models the gay lifestyle."

This is the same reverend who, in an unrelated tirade several weeks ago, announced and then, after being roundly criticized, renounced the "fact" that the antichrist is living among us and he's Jewish.

Now Falwell is claiming that one of the four Teletubbies, all other-worldly creatures with video screens for tummies whose earthly incarnations can be found in soft plush toys, TV ...
