Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was once asked how he felt when he got the Nobel Peace Prize, and he responded with a story. He said that he had once boarded a plane when the pilot announced that the flight would be delayed because of mechanical trouble. King sat, looking out the window of the plane, watching a dozen or so men scramble around working on the plane. The pilot made periodic announcements, and eventually announced that the plane was ready to go, and the impatient passengers spontaneously burst into applause.
