Mayor Donna Dion will face three challengers in the Nov. 2 election,
including City Council President Stephen Beaudette, who entered the race
instead of former Mayor James Grattelo.
Grattelo, who said he considered challenging Dion until Beaudette expressed
an interest last week, will run unopposed for Beaudette's Ward 4 council seat.
The other mayoral candidates are Wonderbar Restaurant owner Vincent Keely and
Biddeford landlord Rory Holland, according to the election ballot set Friday
afternoon by City Clerk Clairma Matherne.
This election marks a change for Biddeford politics. It is the first race
