Spike Lee to produce movie on legend Jackie Robinson.
Spike Lee's 40 Acres and A Mule Filmworks and Rachel Robinson announced on Sept. 29, the upcoming production of a major motion picture on the life and times of the legendary Jackie Robinson, the first African American to break the color barrier in major league baseball.
Rachel Robinson, his widow, will serve as consultant for the project which will be written and directed by Lee.
