Susan Taylor urges America to move to higher moral standards.

Blacks are the beneficiaries of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and if they know their history, they know their strength."
That was the message from Susan Taylor, editor-in-chief of Essence Magazine, who spoke at the Fourth Annual Commemorative Breakfast in honor of King Friday sponsored by Florida International University. She told about 600 people in FIU's Graham Center Ballroom that Dr. King's birthdate forces Americans to pause and focus on an extraordinary individual who "stood for, lived for and died for" his people.
