Wynton Marsalis: Still Making Changes.

Things are changing in the life of jazz great Wynton Marsalis. For one thing he recently announced in New York that the septet that he formed seven years ago will be disbanded.

Since Marsalis formed the group, it has functioned as a visual workshop for some of the best young musicians playing.

His pianist, for instance, have included Marcus Roberts, Stephen Scott, Cyrus Chestnut, Peter Martin and, at the end, Eric Reed.

More important, the band has been an invaluable example for younger musicians.
