While the University of California at Berkeley prides itself as one of the forerunners of Asian American studies research, UCLA boasts the 25th anniversary of its Asian American Studies Center. UCLA and UC Berkeley have Asian Pacific American students enrolled, respectively, at approximately 34 and 38 percent of the student body.
