Mandela Receives Jesse Owens Award.

The International Amateur Athletic Association, Inc. (IAAA) presented its prestigious Jesse Owens Awards to President Nelson Mandela of South Africa and triple gold Olympic medalist Johann Olav Koss, a speedskater from Norway and during its annual dinner held last month at the Plaza Hotel, New York City. Koss received the Jesse Owens International Trophy Award and Mandela received the Jesse Owens Global Award.
