Women's History Month; Adelaide Hall: Toast of Britain for five decades.
When Adelaide Hall died at 92 in November 1993 in London, she was perhaps one of the very few remaining links to the glory days of the Harlem Renaissance and the "Roaring '20s." She was there and lived it. And not unlike her friend and fellow Cotton Club chorus line hoofer, Josephine Baker, Adelaide Hall found her acclaim in Europe, where she charmed a devoted army of fans until her death.
