DETROIT (AP) -- Tony Batista homered and drove in three runs as the Toronto Blue Jays snapped a four-game losing streak, beating the Detroit Tigers 9-5 Saturday.
The win kept the Blue Jays 6{ games behind Boston in the AL wild-card race. The Red Sox beat New York 11-10.
Batista hit a two-run homer, his 23rd, in the fourth inning that helped rally Toronto from an early 4-1 deficit. He added an RBI double in the sixth.
The Blue Jays broke a 5-all tie in the seventh on Shannon Stewart's RBI double and a two-run single from Darrin Fletcher off rookie reliever Francisco Cordero (1-2).
