TV Guide To Provide Listings to AOL

DULLES, Va. (AP) -- TV Guide Inc. is becoming the main provider of TV program listings to America Online Inc. in an agreement the companies announced Wednesday.

TV Guide Online, a subsidiary of TV Guide, will supply AOL, the nation's largest online service, with TV listings and synopses of episodes.

TV Guide, based in Tulsa, Okla., will receive prominent placement in eight AOL Channels, or topic areas. Its listings also will be found on three other AOL-owned properties: AOL.com, CompuServe and Netscape Netcenter.

No money will change hands in the agreement, said TV Guide spokesman Ari Karpel said. ``We get something and (AOL gets) ...
