80th Commemoration of the Genocide in Yerevan.

One of most emotional experiences in Armenia occurred on April 24, 1995. On that day I joined well over one million of our brothers and sisters honoring the victims of this century's first genocide. As I joined the throng that made its way up the hill to Tsitsernakaberd, I looked carefully at the faces and wondered if some bore a likeness to those of my unseen grandfather and grandmothers, uncles and aunts, cousins and other relatives whose lives were stolen by the slaughters that took place at the hands of the Turks and Kurds in the village of Tset, in Palu, Dyarbekir Province in 1915.
