Long and varied career shines like a Ruby for entertainer Dee.

The perennially busy Ruby Dee used her day off last week to give some members of the Coalition of 100 Black Women an evening they'll long remember.

"What a great way to spend the day, supporting an African American woman who is a filmmaker," she tells the coalition.

Currently performing with her husband Ossie Davis and their son at the New Jersey-based African American stage Crossroads Theater in a play she wrote, Two Ha Has and A Homeboy, the Theater Hall of Fame, Obie, ACE and Emmy award-winning actress traveled north for a private screening Monday night of her latest movie.
