Al Erlick's fond farewell has led to a grand entrance.

After more than 40 years positioned center stage in American journalism - the past 24 at the Jewish Exponent, where he served for more than a decade as managing editor - Erlick retired from the field last year.

But anyone who knows the Ed Asner-like Al Erlick knows he is not the retiring kind.

Retirement quickly gave way to renewal as Erlick traded editing for acting, returning to theater at this new stage in his life.
