Bobby Seale Calls Panther movie a "lie": Co-founder of the Black. Panthers, plans protest against new movie
Black Panther Party co-founder Bobby Seale hopes to obtain a restraining order next week that will stop theaters from showing the new movie, "Panther."
Seale, who now lives in Philadelphia and is a community liaison for the Temple University's African-American Studies Department, is upset with the way Mario Van Peebles' film portrays him. The picture, which Van Peebles directs, opened last week and centers around the party's early days in the 1960s.
