Harriett Ellis leads an inspiring, fast-paced lifestyle - more so than most people that you might meet. Harriet is the former director of pharmacy at Harlem Hospital and currently serves as pharmacy director for a prestigious New York City health agency. Harriett also sits on the New York Board of Pharmacy, teaches continuing education courses in pharmacy and plays tennis several times a week. But one aspect of her life is increasingly common among African Americans. Harriett begins and ends each productive day of her life hooked up to a home kidney dialysis unit.
