Where is gospel music going?.

At the time of this writing "Why We Sing" by Kirk Franklin & the Family has returned to the No. 1 spot on the national Top Gospel Albums chart, as tabulated by Billboard magazine. It has been on that chart for a whopping 89 weeks, at least half of that time at the apex, its only challenger being the Mississippi Mass Choir's "It Remains To Be Seen."
That's impressive, but there's more. "Why We Sing" has also crossed over in a big way into the secular marketplace, vaulting into the Top 10 on the R&B Albums chart and having an impact on the Pop Albums chart as well. Gospel and ...
