Wallace bids farewell to North Carolina Tar Heels.

After months of speculation, Rasheed Wallace finally made it official -- he's leaving University of North Carolina for professional basketball.
The former Simon Gratz High School star announced yesterday that he was declaring himself eligible for the June 28 NBA Draft. He had until May 14 to make his decision. Wallace formally revealed his decision on the front steps of his North Philadelphia alma mater -- the same place where two years ago he announced he would attend North Carolina.
