I had stopped on my way to the set to welcome Dick Gregory, legendary comedian and politician activist who would be playing the part of Rev. Sloccum in our film, Panther. I also came to offer him my director's trailer instead of the cramped quarters they had him waiting in. "Your kidding me, you think I'm soft," he spurted.
