NCAA Tourney Picks Were Just Right

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) -- Let's hear it for the NCAA tournament selection committee. They had the field of 64 scoped just right.

For evidence of that, just look at the survivors who arrived in Florida for the Final Four. There were three No. 1 seeds -- Duke, Connecticut and Michigan State -- and a No. 4 -- Ohio State. And the Buckeyes beat the tournament's other No. 1, Auburn, en route to the Final Four.

So after two weekends worth of slam dunks and 3-point shots, the field got to just about where the committee thought it would when it picked over all those peanuts and pretzels on Selection Sunday.
