Queens Residents To Get $4.5 Loan Program.
Low and modern income residents of Northern Queens who might otherwise be denied bank loans for home repairs now have access to a $4.5 million pool of loan funds that have been made available through a new program of Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS). This citywide not-for-profit organization recently opened in Elmhurst, Queens.
The operating capital for the Elmhurst office was donated by fifteen local banks which contributed more than $240,000 to open the office. Those making donations were Apple Bank for Savings, Asia Bank, N.A., Astoria Federal Savings and Loan Association, Banco Popular de ...
