Hurricane Is Only A Tropical Breeze.
Back in the mid `80s when rap music began to cross-over to the pop charts and reach the masses, some of the more prominent acts were LL Cool J, Public Enemy, the Beastie Boys and Run DMC. Yet on the fringes of the spotlight was the rapper known as Hurricane. He grew up in Hollis, Queens (like Run DMC) and had his own group called the Solo Sounds.
When Run DMC gained national attention and went on their "Raisin' Hell Tour" (with LL, Whodini and the Beastie Boys), Hurricane originally joined the tour as a bouncer and later became the Beastie Boys. Now he's gone solo and released his debut CD on Grand ...
