Civil Rights Comm. Supports affirmative action.

In May, the Michigan Civil Rights Commission unanimously adopted a policy which reaffirmed its support for voluntary affirmative action and clarified the rights of all individuals to file complaints if they believe they are victims of discrimination. The new policy also recognizes that voluntary affirmative action plans must be temporary and designed to include qualified persons who were previously excluded because of race, national ???, gender and handicap.
