`Serious Fun' at Lincoln Center.
Put three of the best African-American representatives of the arts on one stage and there can be magic. So was the case when dancer Bill T. Jones, author Toni Morrison and musician Max Roach came together in the production of "Degga," on July 25 as part of Lincoln Center's "Serious Fun."
At the top of the show, Roach walked on to a softly lit stage, on top of a platform, towards a chorus of drums, and soon the crowd was privy to a fusion of sounds.
