Red Cross Salutes Volunteers Like Marie Evans

Who says you can't do it all? Marie Evans, a Los Angeles resident and longtime Red Cross volunteer, has managed to accomplish a great deal in her life.

A mother of five and grandmother of nine, Evans has been a nurse for 55 years and a Red cross volunteer nurse for nearly 30 years. At 75, the spry Evans remains active as a Red Cross volunteer, routinely helping victims of local daily disasters in the Los Angeles area (such as single-family fires) and still managing to help victims of major disasters (e.g. hurricanes) throughout the United States.
