UC Graduation Rates High

The University of California at Berkeley announced Thursday that the school's graduation rates are at an all-time high with 82.8 percent of students graduating.

Figures released by the school also show that 1998 graduation rates were at an all-time high for Latino, Chicano and African American students.

Chancellor Robert Berdahl said the statistics "are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and the commitment of our faculty and staff."

The freshmen class entering the university in 1992 had a graduation rate of 82.8 percent within six years. This percentage is favorable to the 1991 graduation rate of 80 percent and the 1983 ...
