Wynton Marsalis, Kathleen Battle merge spirituals and jazz.

Trumpeter Wynton Marsalis might have conceded to having lyric soprano Kathleen Battle dominate his house at Lincoln Center. Marsalis, who holds the George Weissman Conductor's Chair for the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra (LCJO) and is the prestigious facility's artistic director for LCJO, obviously decided to collaborate with Battle by welcoming the singer to Lincoln Center for her debut appearance with LCJO.

In her captivating, innocent, shy-like mannerisms, Battle opened the first program for the season at LCJO, which consists of a list of interesting events.
