It is with great pleasure that we welcome Florentino Garcia Martinez's The Dead Sea Scrolls Translated: The Qumran Texts in English, a translated and revised version of his Textos de Qumran (Madrid: Editorial Trotta, 1992). For the first time since their discovery, the English-reading public now has access to 270 of the most important non-biblical Dead Sea manuscripts (from a total of more than 800 including biblical works), as well as an up-to-date list of the manuscripts, including the biblical and unpublished materials.
