Entertainment Sets Trends In Drug Use Across Nation.
Hollywood has become the trend setting Haight Ashbury of the 1990's in drug use through its influential community of music, film and television industries, as well as the club scene and the all night underground dance parties called "raves," now commonplace. One important side effect to this dubious hobor is seen in a recently released study by DrugGree Southern California. They surveyed 5,700 youth in 72 Los Angeles public and private schools and found Los Angeles children are more open to drug use than other U.S. cities.
