THEY BEGAN with 45 students, three teachers and a dream: Music for
all.

That was the National Music Conservatory's (NMC) goal in 1986. Today,
with more than 350 students and astaff of 38 teachers, the NMC is changing
the way Jordanians appreciate the universal language.

The conservatory has crossed an extra mile to create what many see as
a growing web of musical bounty, set tobring the glory and magic of music
to the masses.

Looking back at 13 years of hard work and management, NMC's director
Kifah Fakhouri, the man behind thescenes, is optimistic about the future.
