Not In My Neighborhood.
For the good of the city of Oakland, all of its citizens should share in the benefits as well as some of the pain that goes along with the benefits.
If you take a close look at the city, you'll find that the less affluent neighborhoods have been the beneficiaries of almost 100% of the painful changes affecting the city.
Our elected officials and city administrators are not taking full advantage in negotiating business opportunities throughout our city. History will show that the less affluent communities of the city are beneficiaries of almost 100 percent of the painful changes and almost none of the wealth.
