KANSAS CITY, Oct. 31 (UPI) _ Safety Reggie Tongue's seven-yard fumble
return for a touchdown highlighted a stellar defensive performance
Sunday as the Kansas City Chiefs continued their dominance at home
against the San Diego Chargers with a 34-0 whitewash.
Elvis Grbac had a pair of touchdown passes, including an 81-yarder to
Derrick Alexander, as Kansas City posted its 10th straight home win
over San Diego. The Chiefs defense, led by cornerback James Hasty, has
allowed just 22 points in its last three contests.
It was the first shutout for the Chiefs since a 30-0 rout of Oakland on
Dec. 7, 1997.
