Armenian Airlines Joins European Civil Aviation Association.

The Republic of Armenia last month joined the European Civil Aviation Association as a full member.

Armenia, together with the Baltic republics, emerges as the only republic of the former Soviet Union to gain membership in the organization.

Mr. Shahen Bedrosian, who heads Armenia's Civil Aviation Commission, at a press conference held in the Armenian capital, announced the acceptance of Armenia into the European aviation group.

He said that Armenian Airlines presently services 32 separate destinations with as many as 80 weekly flights to these destinations.
