Official Secrets Act to be Repealed.

IN order to ensure openness in government, The Official Secrets Act, which one junior minister described as "an outdated piece of legislation", is to be repealed.

The Act is to be considered by the Select Dail Committee on Legislation and Security, which will then put new proposals before the government later in the year.
