Holloway assumes key MDCC-Homestead post.
Dr. Alexandria Holloway was recently named interim dean of Miami-Dade Community College's Homestead Campus.
As executive dean, Holloway, a 20-year employee, will assist Campus President Dr. Roy Phillips and oversee academic and administrative affairs, the budget and facilities, Phillips said.
Holloway will also be responsible for student services and financial aid.
"I'am very happy to have her here," Phillips said. "She has been an excellent associate dean and we felt that since we were losing the dean, we should use her. We managed to convince (MDCC District President) Dr. (Eduardo) padron to place her her.
