The re-authorization of a Safe Drinking Water Act was introduced last fall by U.S. Sens. Dirk Kempthorne (R-Idaho) and John Chafee (R-R.I.).

As the city's drinking water provider, the Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) would like to address the merits of this bill.
