When a man is martyred, he is often lionized in many different media. The balladeers sing praises of him. The poets recite versus in his honor. Painters render his likeness on murals, and portraits. Statues are cast. In some instances a flame is lit near his crypt.

Well, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is all that, plus a postage stamp. Even "clip art" images of him appear everywhere and an official federal holiday is named in his honor.
