LOS ANGELES, Nov. 6 (UPI) _ Eric Desjardins scored the go-ahead goal
early in the second period and added two assists Saturday night as the
Philadelphia Flyers extended their unbeaten streak to five games with a
5-3 victory over the undermanned Los Angeles Kings.
The Flyers are 8-1-1 since opening the season with a six-game winless
streak and moved two points ahead of second-place New Jersey in the
Atlantic Division.
Philadelphia gained a 3-2 lead on the power play just 66 seconds into
the second period. Goaltender Stephane Fiset lost his stick and
Desjardins fired home a slap shot from the right side for his fifth
goal ...
