MBABANE, Dec. 1 (AIA/GIN) -- When the army was called in to
quell a student rebellion at the University of Swaziland in the
early 1990s, it became a seminal event that signalled a new
generation's political consciousness.
This week, the annual commemoration of "Black Wednesday" was
held for the first time with the permission of university
authorities.
A tree was planted both in honor of the injured -- no fatalities
occurred when armed soldiers pushed police aside and forced
students out of the library where they had barricaded themselves
