MY heart rose to my mouth as I saw the white water roaring before me and I paddled desperately to steer my kayak to keep it from being shattered on the rocks.
In fact, I was paddling along the easiest "family" course of Jordan River Rafting, one of several companies specializing in kayaking and rafting in Upper Galilee. To be quite honest, the white-water rapids lasted for about 30 seconds at the end of what was, for the most part, a very tranquil trip.
It was my second kayak trip on the Jordan in one week. The first time, I had been on a more tranquil stretch of the river in a kayak belonging to Ma'ayan Baruch Camping and launched from Kibbutz ...
