NSW: University staff settle bargaining dispute

A long-running pay dispute involving academics at the University of New South Wales
has ended with union members accepting a 13 per cent pay rise.

During the 15-month dispute, lecturers went on strike for four days and imposed a ban
on examination results in November.

Under today's settlement academics will receive a payrise of 13 per cent to March 2003
and their superannuation contributions ...
