Vic: Emergency services struggle to cope with air fuel crisis

MELBOURNE, Jan 11 AAP - Victoria's five air ambulances and six of the Royal Flying
Doctor Service's national fleet have been immobilised as Australia's peak aviation authority
ordered them grounded.

And a quarter of Victoria's firefighting aircraft were out of action, following the
Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) directive.

The authority yesterday ordered planes that filled up with Mobil 100/130 avgas from
its Victorian Altona refinery between November 21 and December 23 not to fly.
