(Daily Bruin) (U-WIRE) LOS ANGELES -- The 63 workers at the UCLA laundry facility in Culver City may not love their jobs dealing with filthy sheets from local hospitals - but many workers say they need them.

That is why many of them are so concerned that UCLA administrators are thinking about subcontracting out their work to save money, which could lead to the workers losing their jobs.

"I like the work," said Sandra McVikar, an employee at the facility. "It doesn't pay really well, but I've been working for a long time."
