Mike Martz officially takes over Rams
ST LOUIS, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- New St. Louis Rams coach Mike Martz said
Wednesday he believed he had learned as much about being a head coach
as he could have from the man he is replacing -- Dick Vermeil.
Two days after his team won the Super Bowl, Vermeil retired from
coaching and Martz, who had already been selected as his successor,
moved in. Martz held his introductory news conference Wednesday.
"I have been in the NFL for eight years and I don't know if anybody is
really ready to be a head coach," he said, "but I feel like I am. "I am
