(The State News) (U-WIRE) EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Some Michigan Democratic leaders are urging state Democrats not to cast their ballots in the Feb. 22 Republican presidential primary.
Party officials said Democrats shouldn't influence Michigan's Republican nomination. A poll conducted last week showed that if Michigan Democrats and independent voters are counted, Michigan voters favor Arizona Sen. John McCain over Texas Gov. George W. Bush by 9 percentage points.
