Vic: Toddler s condition still dire after being left in hot car

MELBOURNE, Feb 21 AAP - A 19-month-old boy who became critically ill when his mother
left him in a hot car for more than two hours last Wednesday still shows no signs of recovery.

The toddler was late today still in a critical condition in intensive care at Melbourne's
Royal Children's Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Police have said the boy was found about 11.30am (AEDT) on Wednesday in the car which
was parked alongside a Ferntree Gully hotel, in Melbourne's east.

Temperatures inside the vehicle were estimated at up to 65 degrees Celsius.
