BASK: Kelly kills Hawks playoff hopes
WOLLONGONG, Feb 25 AAP - Townsville forward Mike Kelly put the final dagger into the
playoff hopes of the Wollongong Hawks as the Crocodiles scored a 114-98 victory at the
Sandpit tonight.
The Hawks entered the game desperate to keep their faint dreams alive, but they weren't
counting on being run down by a truck in the shape of Kelly.
He was unstoppable on his way to a career high 32 points, but his method of execution
was as psychological damaging as his final points tally.
Kelly sparked the Crocs in the second quarter with a three point rampage as he helped
Townsville overhaul an early Wollongong lead.
