(Daily Californian) (U-WIRE) BERKELEY, Calif. -- The UC system endowment has more than doubled in the last 10 years but still lags behind many prominent private schools, a UC spokesperson said yesterday.
The university endowment is valued at nearly $6 billion, said Brad Barbar, UC assistant vice president of institutional advancement. UC Berkeley's endowment, approximately $1.8 billion, is the highest in the UC system, he added.
According to figures from the National Association of College and University Business Officers, the UC system ranks seventh in endowment funds among all universities. Among public universities, it ranks second only to the ...
