(Daily Egyptian) (U-WIRE) CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Two years ago, George Bombardier passed through Carbondale during a trip he made across the United States in his golf cart. Now he plans to make the cross-country adventure again.
Bombardier, 59, is a retired roofer and inventor from San Bernardino, Calif. In 1998, he made the trip from Bloomington, Calif. to Fairfield, Conn. in a 1993 Club Car golf cart to see his children for the Fourth of July.
